Recycled regular 8 plastic daylight spool and metal can for use with regular/standard 8mm cameras. The solid daylight spool flange protects film edges from light exposure so that cameras may be loaded or unloaded in subdued light. Useful for swapping film loads and film resale products!
Spools and cans are hand selected from our processing runs for best condition. Selected cans then have all tape, labels and markings removed and cleaned for easy relabeling. While this recycled product is similar in condition to new spools and cans, some minor blemishes may be present.
Recycled Regular 8 Can/Spool
Plastic Daylight Spool: Flat black, plastic daylight spool for R8mm 25′ loads (for 16mm width prior to slitting). Solid flange for loading undeveloped film in subdued light.
Daylight Spool Measurements: 2″ across. 3 cog – 4 cog center for fitting in standard, regular 8mm film cameras.
Metal Container: Circular, light tight metal can.
Container Measurements: 2.25″ across X .75″ deep
Compatibility: All R8 cameras that accept 25′ loads
Green Product: 100% recycled, conserving global resources and reducing landfill impact.
Recycling (Cleaning) Process: Spools and cans are hand selected from our film processing runs for best, “like new” condition. Film containers are gently heated to remove all adhesive tape and labels. Can is then chemically scrubbed to remove any remaining adhesive residue and markings for reuse as a green, recycled product. While this product is similar in condition to new cans, minor blemishes may be present.
