A collection of rare, used daylight spools intended for specialty cameras with unique load size features. These spools all have a protective, solid flange for loading film in cameras under subdued light. All spools are made for fitting on a standard 5/16″ camera spindle (same core size as a standard Kodak 16mm 100′ daylight spool). Because these spools are used, some minor blemishes or paint loss may be present.
The following specialty spools are included for sale. Inventory is extremely limited:
- 35mm 100′ Metal Daylight Spool for B&H Eyemo or Arri 2C.
- 16mm 400′ Metal Daylight Spool for quick reloading of film magazines without a changing bag.
- 16mm 200′ Metal Daylight Spool. Not for Aaton A-Minima.
- R8mm 50′ Plastic Daylight Spool for 16mm wide (unslit) R8 or DS8 film.
*Please be sure that your camera is fully compatible with the specialized load size. Instructions, can or film not included.
**To avoid light leaks, always wind unexposed film onto daylight spools with emulsion side down. As 16mm is loaded to a spool, check to be sure perforations (sprocket holes) are running along the correct side for camera threading.
